Arguments about the direction of our economy are getting more intense and more complex. Even the so-called “experts” argue daily on TV and in newspapers about this data point or that policy proposal. You could ignore all the arguing, but the economic data points and the subsequent policies proposed are too important to our daily lives and the success of our businesses to ignore.
That’s why I’ve put together this presentation on the three major economic philosophies that drive our economy. I nail down, simply and in English, the essentials of each economic approach, the focus of each approach and then how each approach proposes solutions to our current economic problems.
You will be amazed at how quickly the fog lifts and you get a sense of the big picture as well as the parts that make it work. And who knows, with your new outlook, you may even find humor in the “dueling experts” on TV because you will have the:
1. Have the information you need to understand which of the three approaches they believe and why they are taking the positions they are,
2. Be able to anticipate which economic and political policies they will recommend and advocate,
3. Know which economic data will give you the clues you need to determine the future direction of the economy, and
4. Be able to plan short-term and long-term responses to an unfolding, developing economy.
