Whether as your event's opening act, closing anchor or keynote speaker, Jenny guarantees she will bring your audience to tears of laughter as she playfully pokes fun at herself and life's situations, weaving wisdom and knowledge in between the smiles.
From black-tie soirees to come-as-you-are events, from intimate gatherings to groups of thousands, Jenny enthusiastically admits that she loves to "speak to anyone who's breathing!" In a presentation that is at times side-splitting, at times heart-wrenching, she shares her knowledge that laughter is powerful medicine for the mind, body and spirit. She is uniquely connected to her message through a lifetime of experience that includes being widowed with two young sons at the age of 27, work as a registered nurse and educator, a professional dog trainer, a grandmother and more.
A member of the National Speakers Association and Toastmasters International, she is president of "AKA - all kidding aside," and Iowa's first certified laughter leader. She traveled to China as a clown with a Fun Medicine delegation led by the internationally famous clown-physician, Dr. Patch Adams to visit hospitals, nursing homes, orphanages and schools. A year later she and other clowns went to Ground Zero to provide 'mirth-aid' to the rescue workers in New York City.
Her autobiography, tentatively titled "Life is Just a Bed of Red Noses," is due out in Summer of 2007.
A lifelong learner, Jenny's latest passion - besides speaking -- is bringing smiles and comfort and stress relief to people of all ages through pet therapy with her constant companion, Roxy the toy fox terrier. So you can bet that she'll have your audience sitting, staying, laughing and begging for more!
