Motivational Speakers

Here's an odd group: a former soap opera actress, a major market radio talkshow host, a stay at home mom, a small business owner, an acting coach, a motivational speaker and the mother of an Olympic hopeful. What do they all have common? They're various incarnations of Beth Albright's life.

If life experience is the foundation of a great speaker, then Beth has foundation to spare. Beth started her varied career as a radio talk show host. She traveled around the dial appearing on major market stations. She was described as the Oprah of the radio airwaves creating lively and fun conversation from lifestyle issues to celebrity gossip to social issues to politics.

In the early 90's she moved to Hollywood and landed a role on the NBC soap opera "Days of Our Lives." A year into her on the role, she found out that a baby was on the way. After a life-threatening delivery and premature birth, Beth's passion veered away from the soaps and focused on raising her newborn son, Brooks. Beth left the television show to become a fulltime mom.

When her son was in elementary school Beth opened her own business called "Acting Up" and taught acting and public speaking to young children. She wasn't in the business to create "stars", but wanted to teach kids the importance of self confidence and public speaking - something lacking in the school curriculum. In addition, she began giving motivational speeches. Beth spends much of her time now helping her son Brooks (now 14) reach for his dream of becoming an Olympic figure skater. She also continues to act, to work as a TV and radio voiceover artist and to speak before large groups.

Beth, her television writer husband of 22 years, and her son, live in Los Angeles.
