Richard's goal in life is to improve the lives of his students and his clients. His mission statement reads "to push the thinking of individuals and groups: systems thinking, emotional thinking, ethical thinking, critical thinking, creative thinking, innovative thinking, futuristic thinking, strategic thinking, and decision making.
Richard Brynteson, Ph.D., author of Once Upon a Complex Time, is a professor, speaker, author, international consultant, executive coach, and businessperson. In this book (2006), he pushes his readers to look at the world from a systematic perspective. In his upcoming book What Was I Thinking?, through his own experiences of bumping through life, he invites his readers to examine the flaws of their thinking.
Richard's background is eclectic: marketing manager at three specialty chemical companies, cattle rancher, inner-city school teacher, Ecuadorian farmer, seminary student, art history scholar, kibbutz metal worker, night janitor, innovation consultant, and father. He is currently a professor at Concordia University. He has washed dishes professionally on four continents. In his presentations, he weaves together stories from these experiences to make meaning for the lives of his listeners.
Richard Brynteson has a Ph.D. in Adult and Vocational Education from the University of Minnesota, an MBA in Marketing from the University of Chicago, and a BA in English from Dartmouth College. His career spans the business world, academia, writing, and consulting. He is not particularly fond of ferrets."
