Richard J. Sacks is President of The Sacks Group, Inc., a St. Louis area consulting firm devoted to the development of small business. Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Sacks had twenty years experience in public accounting and private industry. He was employed by three New York Stock Exchange listed companies, holding positions ranging from internal auditor to chief financial officer.

In addition to his financial management background, Mr. Sacks has had extensive experience in computer systems design and programming. He has designed and been responsible for the implementation of several integrated accounting and management information systems for national companies.

The Sacks Group was founded in 1985 to encourage and assist small business development through the application of fundamental business concepts. The company helps entrepreneurs in the small business environment to reach their growth objectives through sound business planning and proven methods of financial management.

Mr. Sacks has been a contributing editor to a regional business magazine, has written a newspaper column and published a newsletter, both entitled Entrepreneur's Corner. He hosts a weekly television show, is interviewed regularly by print and broadcast media on issues related to small business and entrepreneurism, and has chaired government committees and testified to government task forces on issues of importance to micro-business people.
