Roger creates an emotional connection with the audience through sincerity, honesty and self-deprecating humor. He draws from several personal experiences including surviving a life-threatening brain tumor operation.
Every year Toastmaster's International holds four speech contests in the state of Minnesota. In 2005, Roger Revak placed in the top three in all four contests. No one else in Minnesota has ever accomplished this. Since then he has attended five speech-coaching sessions with some of the top speech coaches in the United States such as Patricia Fripp and former Toastmaster world champions Craig Valentine, and Darren LaCroix.
Through all of Roger's ups and downs there have been three constants:
* A deep appreciation for life and people who help people
* A strong sense of determination
* An even stronger sense of humor
Roger is not an expert or a hero. He is just a regular guy who lives a normal life. He lives a normal life because of heroes: people who serve people.
