Emerging Advantage is unique because of the knowledge and experience of its founders, Terese Corey Blanck and Judy Anderson. Working together for 20 years in this speciality niche field, they know 18 to 30 year olds -- how they think, self-motivate and develop.
Terese and Judy are each consultant, expert, trainer, speaker and author, whose training and entire careers have been dedicated to the development of young adults. In 2006, they co-authored The College to Career Road Map companion books for parents and students, Judy & Terese and work as a team in entry-level talent management and development.
Their goal and passion is to merge business strategy and entry-level employee development based on their in-depth understanding of Generation Y, Emerging Adulthood, and leveraging their experience working with young adults. Their application of this knowledge - and their understanding of the demographic shift combined with entry-level deficiencies - is both cutting edge and critical.
Terese Corey Blanck is a national leading expert in entry-level talent management. Terese educates audiences through her keynote speeches and trainings nation-wide. She has served as an expert for the New York Times, Monster and other local and national media outlets.
After fifteen years on university campuses from Colorado to New York seeing a bigger need, Terese segued to business. She spent a decade working with two specialty niche firms creating innovative proprietary programs aimed at managing and developing top entry-level talent to positively impact business results. In 2002, she launched Emerging Advantage, Inc. to maximize the performance of recent college graduates navigating their first workplace experiences.
Terese earned her M.Ed. in College Student Development from Colorado State University.
Judy Anderson has broad experience engaging and developing young adults year olds, spanning both universities and businesses.
Judy has engaged and inspired young professionals with her presentations both in a training and teaching capacity in the areas of leadership and career development at the University of Minnesota, University of Iowa, and the College of St. Catherine. Judy contributed to numerous university-wide initiatives with high level leaders at the University of Minnesota while working in a consultative capacity.
Most recently, she has applied her expertise to assist organizations with their entry-level talent strategy. Additionally, she has been invited to conduct numerous trainings with business leaders and HR professionals.
Judy earned her M.A. in Student Development in Higher Education from the University of Iowa.
